She was born on December 19, 1985, in Imphal, Manipur. The full name of her is Linthoingambi Laishram. She belongs to the Meitei community. Her father name is Chandrasen Laishram, who was a banker, and her mother name is Sorodhoni Laishram and she was a doctor. Her sister name is Rita Laishram Lee.
Since childhood she was interested in dancing, acting and shooting so she participated in many competitions at state level and school level. Later she joined a dance college in Manipur, but her parents were not happy and asked her to leave the college of dancing as she was not focusing on her studies. She always dreamed of becoming a model but due to restrictions in village she was facing many difficulties. But life has plans waiting for her and she got them fulfilled by her hard work and motivation.
She did her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Sophia College, Mumbai. Also she had keen interest in shooting and for learning shooting she joined Tata Archery Academy, Jamshedpur. Later on she moved to New York, to learn acting and she got herself enrolled in an acting course at Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
Her career in modeling started in 2007, when she was offered for a photoshoot for L’Oreal magazine. After some time she got a call from Elite Modelling Agency, and they asked her to prepare a portfolio.
